Our Chapter's History Our Founding... An excerpt from our scrapbook..."From ladybugs and Raggedy Ann dolls to crowns, sisterhood continues forever through Alpha Sigma Alpha. Gathering for their first meeting, twelve women met in Curtiss Hall at Saginaw Valley State University on October 15, 2000. These women were to begin the dream started by a flyer to start an alumnae chapter of ΑΣΑ. Unanimously, the women agreed to pursue the idea and the Mid-Michigan Crown Alumnae Chapter was created. At the first meeting, many decisions needed to be made, among them, a name, officers, and dues. The women wanted to continue the bond of sisterhood established and maintained through the use of "Star Sisters" at the collegiate level. From that concept, the "Crown Sisters" were established and chosen.
